Pear-shaped sedimentation meter MST-1

You can check the amount of magnetic powder sediment after placing the inspection liquid in use and letting it stand for 30 minutes.

In the JIS-Z2320 standard test specimen verification method, the concentration of magnetic particles is typically specified to be in the range of 2 to 10 g/L for non-fluorescent wet methods and 0.2 to 2 g/L for fluorescent wet methods. In magnetic particle testing, it is essential to carefully manage the concentration of magnetic particles in the inspection liquid. According to JIS, the concentration of magnetic particles in the inspection liquid is expressed as the volume of the sediment of magnetic particles contained in a unit volume of the inspection liquid (100 mL). By placing the inspection liquid in a sedimentation gauge and allowing it to stand for 30 minutes, the concentration of magnetic particles can be measured by directly reading the scale of the sedimentation amount. Generally, the volume of magnetic particles contained in 100 mL is approximately 0.09 to 0.2 cc for fluorescent magnetic particles and about 1.7 to 2.4 cc for non-fluorescent wet methods.
